How do I know which products and finishes to choose?
Throughout the home-building journey, we guide you in choosing products that not only match your preferences but also fit within your budget. Quality doesn’t have to mean the most expensive option. Factors like design and materials significantly influence the quality and cost of a product. Some products may offer similar quality and durability at a lower cost due to these factors. We are here to help you through the product selection process, ensuring your choices meet your standards for quality and functionality while remaining within your budget.
How long does it take to build a home?
The construction of a home typically spans months from the time permits are obtained. However, this timeline can fluctuate based on various factors such as the size of the home, the client’s specific goals, and the selections made during the process. Once we understand your requirements and desired timeline, we can create a construction schedule tailored to meet those needs.
What is the best time of the year to build?
We build homes throughout the year. Construction can continue through winter, provided the foundation is laid. We have excavated foundations in December and January, depending on the moisture content in the subsoil and the depth of the frost layer at the site.
Soil properties, especially regarding moisture retention, can significantly impact excavation capabilities.
How are changes handled during the home building process?
We employ a change order format to ensure all requests for modifications are clearly documented, along with any associated costs. Our goal is clear communication, requiring both parties to review and approve any changes before implementation.
Is it OK to visit my home while it’s under construction?
It’s not just okay; we encourage it. We want you to be as knowledgeable about your home as we are. Making decisions along the way is crucial, and these discussions are the best opportunity for us to guide and assist you, addressing any questions or concerns you may have.
Visits just need to be scheduled with us to ensure a safe and productive experience.
