Custom Home Builders in Inverness
Big lots, mature trees and houses built for a different era. In Inverness the first question is often whether to remodel what is there or start again.
Remodel or rebuild is the first decision
Inverness was laid out for large, wooded lots, and many of the houses on them were built decades ago. Some are worth opening up and modernizing; others would cost more to fix than to replace. We walk the house with you, look at the structure, the mechanicals and what is behind the walls, and give you an honest comparison before you commit to either.
The village is in Cook County, so larger projects can also fall under the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District's stormwater ordinance on top of village review, and many lots are on private well and septic. We map those limits up front so the design fits the lot from the start.

Same builder, same crew, whichever of these you need.
Remodeling & Additions
Older suburban houses hide things. We find them before demolition rather than after, so an addition lands square against the existing roofline and the new work does not announce itself as new.
Read the pageKitchen Remodeling
The kitchen is the room the house runs on. We rebuild it around traffic, reach and clearance first, then make it look the way you want it to look.
Read the pageBathroom Remodeling
Primary suites, hall baths and powder rooms. A bathroom is the smallest room we build and the one that punishes a shortcut fastest, because water finds every gap you leave it.

Our whole-house remodel in Inverness
This is a whole-house remodel we completed in Inverness, scoped and run by the same people from the first walkthrough to the finish. It is the kind of project this village has a lot of: an established house on a generous lot, brought up to date rather than torn down.
- Structure, mechanicals and septic checked before the scope is set
- One point of contact from walkthrough to completion
- New work matched to the existing rooflines and materials

Questions
Asked in Inverness
Something not answered here? Call (847) 380-8212 and ask us directly.
Should I remodel my Inverness house or tear it down?
It depends on the structure, the mechanicals, the septic system and what you want the house to become. We walk it with you and price both paths honestly. Sometimes the right answer is to keep the house and sometimes it is not.
Is my lot on well and septic?
Many Inverness lots are. If yours is, the size and location of the septic system affect how much you can add, especially bedrooms, and the health department reviews the plan. We check it early.
Can we live in the house during a remodel?
Sometimes, on a phased project. For a whole-house remodel it is usually faster, safer and cheaper to move out for the duration. We talk it through when we plan the schedule.
Can you work with the architect I already have?
Yes, and the earlier we join the better. Coming in before the drawings are final lets us flag the site and cost consequences while they are still cheap to change. We have worked alongside plenty of architects in this corridor and the relationship is straightforward.
