Custom homes
The houses we built from an empty lot
Every ground-up build in the gallery, photographed after the keys changed hands rather than drawn before the ground was broken.
What counts as a custom home here
These are the jobs that started with a lot and a conversation. No plan was pulled out of a catalogue and adjusted; each one was drawn around how a particular family said they wanted to live, then priced off a written specification before anybody was asked to commit to it.
They are spread across Barrington, Naperville, Hinsdale, Long Grove, Palatine and a handful of villages in between. What they share is the sequence rather than the style, which is why a modern charcoal house and a brick two story sit in the same list.
Looking at a lot
If you have a site in mind, or you are deciding between two, that is worth a phone call before it is worth a drawing. Grade, setbacks and tree cover decide more about a plan than most people expect.

Ask what one of these cost
We can tell you the budget, the schedule and what went sideways on the way. Every job has something. The useful question is what happened next.
